Peter Inglis, guitarist and author. On this website and in my publications I'll show you tried and tested mental and physical approaches to performing music on the guitar.

These methods have been field tested while performing thousands of times and over several decades in Rock, Classical, Country and Jazz ensembles as well as solo Classical and Jazz guitar.

The basic building blocks of a musical vocabulary are explained and demonstrated in my book "Guitar Playing and how it Works".

On this site there are also appreciations and analyses of selected musicians and their recordings. Use the recommended recordings to aid your study of style and to choose repertoire.

Above all, enjoy music!

Peter Inglis

Eric Hill, guitarist.
"Julian Bream always called apoyando technique "top strokes". I now realise that he probably meant "towards the top" (page 77)."
